Client Description:

Our client is the worldwide leading supplier of gas controls and systems in the world.  The company was started in 1901 and had bee storing personnel files dating back to around 1918 in boxes filling the entire third floor of their facility.

Business Challenge: 

When faced with the daunting challenge of moving all of their personnel files to new executive offices in Ohio, our client decided to convert their files from paper to CD-ROM.  The new offices simply did not have the space to store the tractor-trailer load of boxes that would need to be relocated.

Infotek’s Solution: 

Since they had no need for a complete in-house imaging system, our client decided to use Infotek's Conversion Services to convert more than 270 boxes (roughly 825,000 pages) onto 38 CDs.  The images were indexed, and could then be retrieved utilizing a simple retrieval software called PaperVision.

Results: 

Upon completion, instead of shipping a truckload of documents to the company's new executive office, our client shipped a single box containing 38 CDs.
